Joseph McKay

Director of Development​
Joseph is the Director of Development for Lowe Property Group. His responsibilities include the sourcing, financial underwriting, capitalization, design, entitlement, and project management of LPG’s real estate developments. Prior to joining LPG, Joseph worked as a Development Associate for Greystar, leading the development of various multifamily and mixed-use projects totaling 570 units with a total capitalized value of $248 million. Prior to Greystar, Joseph worked as Assistant Vice President in U.S. Bank’s Commercial Real Estate Group where he co-led the origination of $410 million in debt proceeds and managed a national portfolio of $1.1 billion. Joseph is a graduate of Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Business where he obtained both his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Accounting.

Kimberly Gallant

Vice President of LPG Residential

Kimberly has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the multifamily property management industry, overseeing apartment communities across diverse markets. With a strong background in operations, asset performance, and team development, Kimberly is recognized for driving NOI growth, improving resident satisfaction, and maximizing the long-term value of multifamily portfolios.

In their current role, Kimberly provides strategic oversight for regional operations, including property performance, budgeting, capital improvements, compliance, and customer experience. She partners closely with ownership groups, asset managers, and onsite teams to ensure communities operate efficiently while delivering high-quality living environments for residents.

Throughout her career, she has successfully led large, multi-site portfolios, guided lease-up and stabilization efforts, and implemented best-in-class operational practices that improve occupancy, retention, and financial performance. She is known for building strong leadership teams, fostering accountability, and creating service-focused cultures that align operational excellence with resident care.

Prior to joining LPGR, Kimberly held senior leadership roles within nationally recognized multifamily organizations, gaining extensive experience across conventional, mixed-use, and value-add apartment communities.

Kimberly holds a degree in Human Resources and remains actively engaged in industry trends, regulatory standards, and leadership development. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and time spent with her husband and children.

Taryn Taylor

Controller

Taryn’s responsibility is to protect the financial and legal welfare of the company by compliance with all federal and state regulations and by providing timely and accurate financial information.

Prior to joining Lowe Property Group, she was an audit and tax associate at Martin Vejvoda and Associates, a CPA firm located in Denver, Colorado that specializes in the construction industry. While in public accounting, four of her clients were listed among the 400 largest construction companies in the United States. She has several years experience in audit and income tax preparation.

Taryn has an MBA from the University of Utah and Taryn graduated Cum Laude in Accounting along with the Honors Program Degree from the University of Utah. She was an officer in three university related organizations and now volunteers time with The Junior League of Salt Lake.

Ben Lowe 

Chief Development Officer

Ben is currently a Principal of Lowe Property Group where he oversees day-to-day operations and manages the company’s various real estate developments.

Ben is currently overseeing the development of over 1,000 residential units. He is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and performing due diligence on new development opportunities. Ben is responsible for overseeing the development process including entitlements, design, and construction. In addition, Ben has experience with HUD 221(d)4 financing and tax increment financing.

Ben began his career with the Trammel Crow Company in Irvine, California, where he worked as a Senior Development Associate and Project Manager. While at Trammel Crow, Ben led the underwriting and financial analysis of over 4,000,000 SF of industrial and office development throughout Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire. Ben led due diligence on prospective development projects, prepared and presented investment offerings to the company’s investment board, and performed project management on existing developments, including entitlements, engineering, site planning and construction management.

He has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and served as Student Body President at the University of Utah where he graduated Cum Laude in finance. Ben was recognized by Utah Business Magazine as one of Utah’s top 40 business executives under the age of 40.

Veronica Porcayo

Regional Manager

Veronica is the Regional Manager for LPG Residential. She oversees the property management division, assists in asset management duties, and day to day operations for the portfolio.

Prior to joining Lowe Property Group in 2023 Veronica had been in the property management industry for over 17 years in various capacities from on site management, multi site management, and accounting. Veronica specializes in maximizing NOI while maintaining a high focus on resident and employee retention.

Veronica graduated from the University of Utah with a Business Degree. On her free time she enjoys reading and being with her family.

Alex Lowe 

Chief Investment Officer

Alex brings a significant amount of real estate experience to Lowe Property Group and oversees all of LPG’s investments, including the management of investments in multifamily properties and other strategic assets throughout the United States.  He is responsible for negotiating and securing debt and equity commitments for prospective real estate projects and also oversees the asset management of all of LPG’s properties.

Prior to LPG, Alex was the President and Chief Investment Officer of JRK Investors. JRK is a real estate private equity group focused on the acquisition and management of multifamily properties across the United States.  JRK manages over 25,000 apartment units across the nation in 26 different states.  Alex was responsible for all aspects of JRK’s $1.2 billion+ private equity funds, overseeing all personnel in the company’s investment division, and was a member of the firm’s investment committee.  While at JRK, Alex sourced and executed $3 billion+ in commercial property acquisitions and also sold nearly 8,000 units with a combined value in excess of $600 million.  

Prior to JRK, Alex worked at The Westfield Group, one of the largest real estate investment trusts in the world.  While at Westfield, he worked as a developer and was instrumental in a $250MM redevelopment of a Los Angeles regional mall that included Best Buy and Target as anchor tenants.  Alex began his real estate career at BlackRock Inc., one of the world’s largest publicly traded investment management firms.  During his time at BlackRock, he performed underwriting and coordinated due diligence on retail, office, industrial, and multi-family projects.  

Alex has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in finance from the University of Utah where he served as the Student-Body President.

Taylor Walton

Director of Acquisitions

Taylor Walton serves as the Director of Acquisitions at Lowe Property Group. His responsibilities include fundraising, deal sourcing, due diligence, and market research for the company’s investment ventures. He also plays a key role in managing LPG’s newly established preferred equity fund.

Before joining LPG, Taylor was Vice President at Bridge Investment Group, where he led the acquisition and asset management of value-add and workforce multifamily properties nationwide. During his tenure, he was instrumental in sourcing and executing $1.7 billion in multifamily acquisitions and overseeing the sale of assets totaling over $500 million. Taylor also directed a team responsible for the asset management of a multifamily portfolio comprising over 40 assets with a total valuation exceeding $2.5 billion.

Taylor holds a degree in Finance from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Business.

Heidi Kaibetoney

Regional Manager

Heidi oversees the property management of Lowe Property Group’s portfolio of affordable rental communities. She works closely with on-site managers of individual communities to provide tenants with the highest level of service and care and to ensure that our affordable rental communities remain in compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Heidi has experience working with various affordable housing programs and works closely with the Utah Housing Corporation.

Heidi graduated with her bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah. Heidi loves reading, camping and spending time with her family. She has been with an affiliate of Lowe Property Group since 2004.

Garrett Wertz

Marketing Specialist

Garrett is a Marketing Specialist at Lowe Property Group, where he leads marketing strategy and execution across the firm’s multifamily portfolio. He works closely with development, asset management, and on-site teams to support lease-ups, stabilized assets, and portfolio-wide initiatives.

Garrett oversees digital marketing, paid media, SEO, website strategy, branding, and creative direction, with a focus on data-driven decision making and performance-focused execution. His work supports both property-level leasing goals and long-term portfolio growth, while maintaining brand consistency across LPG’s communities.

Garrett has worked in the marketing field since 2013, primarily in B2B environments, where he held roles spanning marketing automation, brand analysis, and market research. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from BYU–Idaho in 2017.

Julia Perry 

Associate

Julia is an associate for Lowe Property Group where she assists with asset management, day-to-day operations, and underwriting and due diligence for both new acquisition and development projects.

Prior to joining LPG in 2022, Julia worked as a summer analyst at BNY Mellon.

She graduated with a degree in finance and real estate from the University of Colorado Boulder. While there she participated in the Leeds Real Estate Analysis & Presentation Case Competition, Leeds Investment Banking Club, and the Young Alumni Mentor Program.

Karlie Heald

Manager of Design and Construction

Karlie is the Manager of Design and Construction at Lowe Property Group. She is responsible for overseeing design and construction for LPG’s real estate developments. Prior to LPG, she founded Espie Creative, a design and construction consulting firm, and worked as a Project Designer at Studio Mai in Los Angeles.

Her experience includes 10 years of construction administration experience across the U.S., Mexico, and the U.K., with a design portfolio that includes multifamily, hospitality, commercial and custom home projects.

Karlie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from California State University, Long Beach, and studied the History of Architecture in Rome, Italy.

Miles Waltman

Managing Director

Miles is Managing Director for Lowe Property Group where he assists with all aspects of the business. Miles is heavily involved with LPG’s asset management and property management functions, and helps oversee the company’s recently launched preferred equity fund. He is also a member of LPG’s investment committee for acquisition and development projects.

Prior to joining Lowe Property Group, Miles spent time at two multifamily-focused private equity firms (Sundance Bay in Orem, Utah, & JRK Property Holdings in Los Angeles, California), as well as a large multifamily REIT (Cottonwood Residential in Salt Lake City, Utah). His experience includes asset managing a portfolio of over 2,000 residential units, playing an integral role in the development of over $500MM worth of Class A apartments and retail space, and has underwritten several billion dollars worth of multifamily acquisition and development deals.

Miles graduated with a finance degree from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Business.

Rebecca Gutierrez

Regional Manager

Rebecca Gutierrez is a seasoned property management professional with 27 years of industry experience. She began her career as a Leasing Agent and quickly advanced into the role of Community Manager, building a strong foundation in on-site operations and team leadership. Her dedication, operational expertise, and strategic mindset led her to hold senior-level positions, including Asset Manager and Regional Vice President, where she successfully drove performance, stabilized assets, and led diverse portfolios.

Currently, Rebecca serves as a Regional Manager for LPG Residential, overseeing multiple communities and supporting teams to achieve operational excellence, financial performance, and high resident satisfaction. Her experience spans a wide range of property types, including Market rate, LIHTC, RD, M.U.D.D., Senior Housing, and new construction lease-ups, giving her a comprehensive understanding of both conventional and affordable housing sectors.

Rebecca holds the Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation, reflecting her commitment to professional development and industry’s best practices. Known for her hands-on leadership style, attention to detail, and results-driven approach, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to every property and team she supports.

Tyler Bennett

Analyst
Tyler is an Analyst at Lowe Property Group, where he focuses on financial underwriting, capitalization, design, entitlement, and project management for LPG’s real estate developments. Prior to joining LPG, Tyler worked at Ivory Commercial doing multifamily development and at BDO in their assurance department. Tyler earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting from Brigham Young University and is currently pursuing a Master of Real Estate Development at the University of Utah.

Ty Froelich

Analyst

Ty is an Analyst at Lowe Property Group, where he focuses on underwriting acquisition and equity deals, supporting the team during the due diligence process, and assisting with the firm’s day-to-day asset management operations.

Prior to joining LPG in 2025, Ty gained experience as a Development and Property Management Intern with McGrath Property Group in Madison, Wisconsin.

He graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a degree in Finance and Real Estate. During his time there, Ty was actively involved in the Wisconsin Real Estate Club, the U.S. Bank Access to Ascend Bridge Program, and completed the Project Destined Real Estate Investments Internship Program.

Amber Riser

Head of Accounting

Amber is the head of accounting for LPG Residential. She oversees Bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, Analyzing and Reporting Financial Information on a monthly basis, Maintaining Balance Sheets and Bank Accounts, and Reconciliations, Payroll, and is a point of contact and provides professional correspondence with clients, CPA’s, Auditors, etc.

Previous to joining the residential side of Lowe Property Group, Amber worked for another property management company for 7 years, where she was involved in all levels, including leasing, assistant, multi-site management, district management, and eventually accounting. 

Amber received an accounting associate’s degree from Grand Canyon University. She enjoys history and learning, loves overseas travel and checking items off her bucket list, museums and historical sites, spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, and treasured friends, participating in outdoor activities,  and relaxing on beaches wherever she can find them.

Lyon Almanda

Analyst

Lyon is an Analyst at Lowe Property Group, where he assists with the preparation of weekly and monthly reports, budgeting, and other financial analyses. He is also involved in LPG’s asset management and property management functions.

Prior to joining Lowe Property Group, Lyon worked as an Analyst at Citibank and as an Operations Analyst at a digital asset company.

He graduated from Brigham Young University–Hawaii with a degree in Finance and minors in Web Design and Japanese.

Sheri Holmes

Accountant

Sheri has spent the last 20+ years navigating the world of numbers, building a career rooted in precision, accountability, and trust. Her studies at Southern Utah University provided a strong technical foundation for a career defined by accuracy and operational integrity.

As a Staff Accountant at Lowe Property Group, she specializes in key financial functions—from accounts payable and reconciliations to auditing—ensuring records and processes remain efficient and reliable.

Mike Warren
